Do you photograph weddings together?

Yes! When you book Terry Photo Co, you get Tara and Joe.

 

Will you provide direction?

We will give you ideas for direction and obviously put you where the light is most flattering but it’s a collaboration, really. Our aim is to have you both interacting authentically with honest emotion. It’s those real moments that make stunning photographs. And don’t worry, it’s natural to be nervous at first – we completely understand but we always have some fun!

 

Are you willing to travel for weddings?

We sure are. Although we love Calgary, we equally love travelling nationally and internationally. If you are thinking of getting married somewhere awesome, do it and we’ll come too. We’re also up for discounting our prices if you’re willing to bring us with you.

 

Do you only shoot weddings?

Although we have explored many avenues of photography including commercial, family, events, portraits, we have discovered that weddings are our jam. For the past couple years we have chosen to focus our attention almost solely on the wedding world. With that being said, we do love to do a handful of portrait sessions or events in our less busy months, so please contact us for availability and more details.

 

Do you recommend an engagement session?

Absolutely! We love them because they allow the four of us to hang out and gives you the opportunity to get comfortable in front of the camera before your big day. We see it as a warm up so we can get the most out of the time set aside for pictures on your busy wedding day. We get to see how you interact and you get to see how we work.

 

What’s your photography style?

That’s a tricky one, we aim for a low interference photojournalist approach however we are always trying to bring our creativity and knowledge of light into whatever we do so we definitely like to jump in with direction if we see the opportunity. As a married couple we think about what is important for us now looking back 15 years on our wedding photos so we always strive for timeless editing and romantic, classic imagery.

 

Do you offer albums?

For sure! We believe that your photos are made to be more than just screen savers and Facebook profile pictures. They are meant to tell a story and what better way than to have them in a book that can be passed down for generations.

 

How many photos will we get?

Lots. On average, we say you will get between 75-100 images per hour that we are with you.

 

When will we get to see our photos?

We know you are excited to see your photos and we promise you that we are even more excited to show you the final product. You can expect to see your photos 4-6 weeks following your wedding.

 

How do we receive our images?

Easy Peasy! When your photos are ready, we will send you a personalized client gallery where you can download the images directly and/or order prints. They will be provided to you in 2 different formats- low resolution images that you can share online, and high resolution images that you can have printed in various sizes. And all of your images will be in colour and black and white.

 

How do we book you?

If you decide we are the best fit for your day, awesome! All we require to secure your date is a 30% retainer fee along with a signed contract. Done!
