When we eventually moved to Canada I instantly wanted to work as a Banff elopement Photographer so when it comes to capturing the actual elopement, I couldn’t be more in my element. Growing up on the sandy plains of Western Australia didn’t give me much opportunity to play in the mountains but at 16, while on a school trip to New Zealand, I had my first experience with big mountains and I was instantly obsessed. We have done plenty of travelling and so much has revolved around exploring the wilderness. From the Everest Base camp to the Inca trail, travelling to mountain locations has been our favourite places to explore and being out in the wilderness makes me feel right at home.

Since moving to the area I have spent so much time exploring and working in the surrounding mountains. When you hire me not only do you have a photographer for your Banff elopement, you also have a friend and a tour guide. When I planned my own wedding I was in Canada and planned it in Australia so I am fully familiar with how daunting it can be to plan a wedding in an area you aren’t familiar with! I love to help you answer any logistical questions. With my knowledge of the area and photography expertise help you have the best photos and day.

HOW I PHOTOGRAPH YOUR ELOPEMENT

With my photography roots in the sand dunes of Australia and now living and working often in the rocky mountains I’ve learned how to work with couples in all variety of landscapes, from shady old-growth forests to windswept mountaintops and everything in between. Although you might be nervous or hesitant about being in front of the camera, I’ll make sure you feel comfortable. I give gentle directions to help you into beautiful, natural poses without actually “posing.” Blending genuine intimacy with the surrounding landscape is what I do best. 

WHAT IF WE ELOPE SOMEWHERE ELSE

Fantastic! I would love to come along and document your day, I have so much travel experience, am fully comfortable travelling on my own or bringing my hubby and second shooter. Together we have experience not only photographing Banff elopements but multiple destination weddings in Mexico, Whistler, Australia and multiple locations in the USA.
